My name is Chantelle, I'm an English Secondary Education major, and my interests in writing go along the path of creative writing. I like short stories, poems, novels, and pretty much anything with dialogue. My concerns in writing are mostly for essays, I don't think my thesis statements are very good and my opening paragraphs need work.
My favorite type of writing to read is fan fiction. These are writings by my peers, I like seeing how they portray characters from my favorite TV shows, movies, cartoons, I think you get the point. I also like to see how their grammer an mechanics are, since they are often by people that are English as second language writers.
I also realized, after taking a grammer class, that I love diagraming sentances. When I hear music, or even people talking, I try to diagram what they said in my head. It is a fun thing for me, I love trying to see if the musical lyrics are actually sentances or not. I have found that most of them actually are, which is unbelievable to me.
